Here's some big release news: Warner Home Video has just revealed that Batman Begins will finally arrive on Blu-ray Disc on 7/8 in two editions - a single-disc version (SRP $28.99) and a new
2-disc limited edition gift set (SRP $49.99).
The set will include a lenticular motion film image (probably like the one that was in the Blade Runner box set), along with photos, script pages, storyboards, 5 artwork postcards and a $7.50 "movie cash" coupon to use when you see The Dark Knight, which arrives in theatres on 7/18. Both versions of the Blu-ray will also include an exclusive comic book, the story of which serves as a prologue to The Dark Knight.

Warner Home Video have announced the US Blu-ray Disc release of Batman Begins on 8th July 2008. Timed around the theatrical release of The Dark Knight, Batman Begins arrives on Blu-ray Disc in both standard ($28.99 SRP) and Limited Edition Gift Set ($49.99 SRP) versions.

Both are single-disc releases which include The Dark Knight Prologue (the first six-minutes of the film) as an extra feature. All other disc content is TBC, though we expect it to match the HD DVD release which ported all of the DVD extras and threw in an In-Movie Experience picture-in-picture feature.

The Limited Edition Gift Set also offers a Batman Begins motion art lenticular, a 32-page booklet including an all-new DC Comics comic book adaptation of The Dark Knight prologue, exclusive photos, script pages and story boards. This Gift Set will also include five Batman Begins collectible postcards with never-before printed key art from the theatrical release, as well as $7.50 “movie cash” towards the purchase of an adult ticket to see The Dark Knight in theatres.

Da der UK-Import wesentlich günstiger ist und auch früher erscheint, bin ich nun wirklich am überlegen, mir das Ding zu importieren, es sei denn, für den deutschen Markt ist irgendwie eine andere Verpackung vorgesehen, oder warum ist der Preis deutlich teurer, ist ja fast das doppelte!

ich würde warten bis sicher ist was wir europär in dem giftset bekommen

zbsp play.com schreibt nur was von den postkarten und einem play.com exklusiven speicherstick..der preis liegt bei ca 22 euro ...das kommt mir komisch vor,weil die us preise eigentlich in der regel billiger sind und da kostet das giftset schonmal ca 26 euro und ausserdem steht bei axelmusic dann noch dabei:

die 50 euro auf amazon.de sind natürlich mal der vorbestellerwitz


ich weiß noch nicht was ich nehmen soll....
-us single disc 16 euro
-us giftset 26 euro
-uk single wahrscheinlich um die 20 euro aber mit dt ton
-uk giftset 22-26 mit dt ton,aber unklar was enthalten ist

deutsche variante kommt wohl nicht in frage wegen des wahrscheinlich höheren preises

Ja, ich werde auch erstmal abwarten, was denn da überall enthalten sein wird, aber die UK-Fassung steht jetzt schon mal vor der DT-Fassung, allein schon wegen des Preises...

Ich habe grade versucht die Bluray Batman begins zu schauen. Da aber immer ein Bild im Bild aufpoppte, welches ich auch nicht ausschalten konnte, rief ich bei Warner in Hamburg an. Dort erklärte mir eine sehr schlecht deutsch sprechende Mitarbeiterin, das sie für Privatkunden keinen Service machen. Ich solle mich an den Händler wenden. SUPER KUNDENSERVICE, aber von Warner ist man ja nix anderes gewohnt.
Hat jemand von euch eine Idee, wie ich den ohne Kommentar schauen kann ?

Hatte bisher auch noch kein Problem mit der Disc bei mir startet sie auch direkt von Anfang an ohne Menü oder ähnliches.
